The Firm’s litigation practice area provides specialized services in civil and commercial litigation, consumer protection matters, advertisement disputes, application of Mexican Official Standards (Spanish acronym, NOMs), civil liability, bankruptcy law, as well as domestic and international arbitration.

Our team of trial lawyers is comprised of attorneys specialized in all types of litigation, with over 28 years of experience representing clients in complex disputes heard before all instances of State and Federal Courts. Our concern is also to give the client advice on risk and dispute prevention; however, should there be any litigation, we are prepared to protect our clients’ rights and interests, in a responsible and timely fashion.

In connection with consumer protection, we offer the following services:

1. Attending the defense of claims and complaints heard before the Consumer Protection Agency (Spanish acronym, PROFECO), whether at its central offices or its federal regional offices.
2. Attending administrative-law proceedings filed due to advertising disputes resulting from false, deceitful, slanderous or comparative advertising.
3. Application of NOMs; attending inspection and surveillance proceedings, product immobilization or closure of premises.
4. Registration of contracts of adhesion.
5. Filing of proceedings before the Self-Regulation and Advertising Ethics Council.
6. Filing of proceedings to challenge rulings issued by the PROFECO before the PROFECO itself and/or before any federal courts.
